2009 L'Aventure Paso Robles Optimus Estate

I had dinner last night in Los Angeles with Debi Mazar and Gabriele Corcos of the Cooking Channel program “Extra Virgin.” I met them this summer in Tuscany and did one of their shows. Gab is from Florence and an excellent cook. Debi is a blast. Anyway, I brought a bottle last night of 2009 L'Aventure Paso Robles Optimus Estate. It was a gorgeous and generous red. It was beautiful with the roasted chicken and potatoes. The red is very silky and rich with a lovely texture of ripe, polished tannins and plenty of dark fruits and milk chocolate. Full and refined. Drink now or hold. 92 points. Find the wine.
