TN: 2005 Pride Mountain Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve

Inspired by James' Pride Mtn video, thought I'd check in on one.

  • 2005 Pride Mountain Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve - USA, California, Napa Valley (1/10/2011)
    95% Cabernet, 5% Petite Verdot, 58% Sonoma, 42% Napa, 14.5 alc.

Classic Pride Mtn....rich and spicy, dark berry fruit, charcoal dust, mocha, spearmint, dried cherries. Really rich, yet tight with firm dry tannin. Tons of sediment...just in the first glass! Has an amazingly tasty mintiness to it, as well as the classic Pride mocha laced exotic smoked woods. Some cherry creams, dried tobacco leaves...nice balance, and built for age. SUPER tasty cab....which should even get better! (96 pts.)

buzz,

Thanks for the note & pic! Surpised to hear the wine threw so much sediment.
