Cohiba robuston from MOA OCT 09 5x3 ....... so perfect its scary!! Reminds me of cohiba robustos from the mid 90's !! Very strong spicy start with a smooth middle with that fresh cohiba grassy flavor in the last third that builds to a very full finish that lingers long and lasting on the pallet. I love the cohibas that come in 5x3 and 5x5 format with each cigar presented in its own box !!! CLASS !!! I rate this one 94 points with room to go very high with some age. These came from PE for around 10 bucks a stick shipped.

Juan Lopez #1: started out like a dream - medium-easy draw, elegant, 'gentle' creamy flavors... very nice. Some minor burn issues past the half-way point, but over-all very nice!

This Pdr custom from Mercer cigars is now starting to remind me of a double magicos!! Very very rich with smooth flavors in the middle heading to a very full and lasting finish.......lots of licorice with hints of chocolet and coffee and that cuban twang ! Great smoke....... been finishing a SLR series A while smoking this beast so flavors are running wild right now on my pallet !!

I'll be very interested to hear your impressions. I've eyed these but have yet to purchase any.

'Had a long night this weekend, so I ended up smoking both the #9 and T52 robustos from Liga Privada. Both blends are delicious, the #9 seeming a bit more full-bodied and round and the T52 having more citrusy flavors and maybe a touch more complexity. It's difficult to say because the #9 was one step short of a plug, and the T52 did not want to stay lit. I smoked these the same night that I bought them, so there may have been store-humi issues; I will let second samples rest in my humi and report after smoking.

Smoked a JUN 10 Trni coloniales sweet start with lots of rich flavorful smoke, coffee and spice in the middle with a very long tasty finish....young but very good ....91 points

Then had a El rey demi tasse funny enough from JUN 10 as well ..... very strong, young but tasty for such a small smoke .....could not beleave how excellent the draw was .. should age well ...... 88 points

Followed up the #9 and T52 robustos from a few days ago with the Liga Privada Dirty Rat (corona). Thankfully no real draw or burn issues, but I don't think the intensity of flavor was up to either robusto. Excellent flavors from all three, but I'm still holding off judgment until I can try second samples.

Hoyo de Monterey Epicure #2. Lovely, medium-bodied stick with wonderful secondary floral notes and a delightful finish. What's not to like about this elegant gem?

Liga Privada #9 Robusto Oscuro. Very firm, solid construction, excellent burn (a couple minor touch-ups, just to keep it from canoeing), wonderful sweet, varied flavors, and a clean finish. Far better than my first sample. Will buy more... if possible. ;)

sept 2010 Mille Fleurs- notes of dusty chocolate and coffee, lots of floral notes. Had a nice even burn, a light grey ash. A great 30 min smoke.

Liga Privada #9 Flying Pig. Wow - really packs a punch; maybe a bit too much for my taste. Will try another to better assess.

Oliva Serie V Diadema (the small one, 6x46). Absolutely perfect construction, draw, and burn. Great Nicaraguan puro with plenty of power and spice, but also a fair amount of cream, sweet caramel-like flavors, and complexity. Better than the Serie V torpedo, which is also excellent, IMHO.

Just tried my first Montecristo Grand Edmundo LE 2010: in terms of flavor, this is far and away the best Cuban I've tried yet. Fantastic sweet green tea and honey flavors from the moment it was lit, adding more savory, earthy flavors as it burned. I purposely chose to smoke this particular stick first because it seemed to have some construction issues (uneven color in the wrapper and some unevenness in the firmness, especially at the foot), and these translated naturally into some frustrating burn issues that needed constant attention to keep on track. In the end, inspiringly delicious but not a relaxing endeavor by any means.

2010 Monte GE LE ......dark oily and delicious to say the least !!! Very good for such a young cigar....starts out with lots of coffee then switches to chocolet and slight licorice flavors then blows you away with a full long lasting finish !! Im with james on this one easy 95 points !!!
