Just scored six ISOLE E OLENA CEPPARELLO 2007 from LCBO vintages classics. I tried this wine at Gambero Rosso event in Montreal a few weeks ago and it was the wotn for me. It was sold out at the event and as well at the LCBO on line. I checked back in this morning and the sold out notice was gone so I called and they had a few bottles left. I have had this experience with the LCBO before where a sold out item is later made available because some people cancel or don't take there whole order. Score :!:

after seeing James post up about Grgich, I picked up a bottle and gave the 2007 Zin a try... I don't normally turn to Zins, but it was very enjoyable.

There was an LCBO vintages Brunello release today and I picked up 6 bottles 2006 Fuligni Brunello di Montalcino at $64 each. Lucky day :rasisered:
Probably should have bought a full case of 12.

I know it's not going to mean much to you lot, but i just grabbed ten cases of Kies 06 Klauber Block Shiraz.
http://www.kieswines.com.au/

I love the stuff and have all my mates so hooked i can get it in bulk.
Will sit in your cellar for ten years (Maybe more) and drinks sooooooo well.

90 minutes in a decanter and you get black forrest cake. The dark cherries blending so well with the chocolate and cream. There is a delightful honeycomb drifts across the top of your palate finishing the 90 odd seconds of delight.

Sure, it could be seen as an Aussie fruit bomb. But all the serious wine drinkers i have palmed off a bottle to agree it is a bloody good drop.

It will always have a place in my cellar.

That is ridiculously low. $16 per bottle on average? Even if some of those are off vintages, the average retail for the 2004 Romitorio is $60 per bottle and the DCV Endeavour is about $50. That's $170 right there. A steal indeed. I wonder what the seller was thinking!?

He was a pretty wealthy guy looking to dump some left over bottles from his wedding. I'm pretty happy with the lot, considering most of those bottles are $40+. I also picked up some 1996 Dom Perignon for $135 each (sealed in box). I'm a happy guy!

2009 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape . I'm going to have to take one for the team and see what the 2009 vintage is all about. CT reviews are very positive :D Might have to buy more as this vintage is still available at the SAQ. The 2006/2007 vintage were sold out in a few hours and I was only able to snag a very few bottles. Rhone is becoming my favorite region in France as the wines are beautiful and comparitively well priced. Clos des papes and Clos Saint Jean Châteauneuf-du-Pape Deus-Ex Machina are both ~$100. Not cheap but not ~$1000 like top Bordeaux :o ...and most of the wines ae ready to enjoy much earlier :rasisered:
