@wine+art, we are still in the process of finishing the transfer of the site to our server and some things are still being worked on as we speak. For now you can enjoy some of the content for free on the site.
Thank you for your patience, and sorry for the delay!

Best,

James,

I think the new website is coming along wonderfully, I was quite disappointed when i first heard that you had left Wine Spectator and to be honest i will not be renewing my subscription, your reviews and your entire outlook on wine really inspired me to grow my collection and expand my horizons with respect to wine and without your presence i see no reason to return there, I was very happy to see that you have the new site up and running and i am sure it will just get better and better! I am wondering about wine reviews, will you have a searchable database of reviews?

By the way i think the videos that i have watched so far are very well done, they have an authentic feel to them, they seem almost organic rather than highly contrived such as other sites, great job! keep it up!

James do us Canadians a favor and cover some Canadian Wines! I have a top rated vacation rental property in Niagara-on-the-Lake and i would be happy to make it available to you at no cost if you are willing to come and do a Canadian Niagara Peninsula tasting trip, check out my website at www.bythevines.com my personal cellar is there and you will see it in the last 1-2 minutes of the video tour

John,

The site is actually not fully operational yet. The site was transfered over to our server today and we are still waiting on some of the pages to make the move to the main site. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused. One more day or so and we should be 100%!

For now, all of the content is free until we fix all of the bugs.

Thank you all. Canadian viewers are really important to my. Not only were my grandparents Canadian but I love your country. I have a project in Montreal that I am working on and I will be tasting Canadian wines as well!

James,

That is great to hear and i hope that perhaps you will take me up on my offer to stay in the Niagara region, i usually book solid but i will gladly keep some dates available if you have any interest and i could certainly recommend some great Niagara wineries that i feel are making great wine such as Tawse, Stratus, Vineland and others, Im sure i have a few Niagara gems in my cellar that i could donate to the cause!

James: Just some truthful opinion/observation regarding your 'Ratings' Video. The one with the montage of quick-shots with you rating each producers wine. Your solid niche is your charisma. Spot on there brother. Yoru one-on-one relationships with some of the world's greatest wine producers. Your ability to sit down and break down the distance that so many people regard there to be between them and these same producers they hold in high regared. Flash takes of belting out scores. Ouch! I really think it throws off a vibe negative to what people are drawn to you for.(it's gotten some negative feed on the WS forums and I can't say I disagree). Lose this video. All your others are PERSONAL. They bring people in touch. That's what you do so well and what will ensure this site to be very profitable for you.
Just my .02. Otherwise, I'm really enjoying everything else. Well done!

Enjoying everything so far - although I also was unable to subscribe. I never received the email to activate.

Looking forward to the cigar reviews - the One Man Cigar Wars was fun, and I appreciated the "which is better right here, right now" approach, as cigars vary from stick to stick, box to box, year to year, etc. (Although the camera operator seemed to have some trouble with zoom/focus, etc., but that's just a nit.)
