On the last evening of Divino Tuscany, guests were invited to dinner at the private residences and special locations, where they were treated to true warm Tuscan hospitality by their hosts: Antinori, Frescobaldi, Mazzei, Barone Ricasoli, Il Borro, Principe Corsini, Querciabella, Casanova di Neri, Valdicava, San Filippo and Siro Pacenti. James also hosted a dinner at Cibreo - Il Teatro del Sale for other participating wineries and guests. Check out the festivities and what everyone ate and drank.
Cibreo - Teatro del Sale: Hosted by James, where guests were entertained by renowned chef Fabio Picchi, who created a theatrical and jovial ambience, whilst guests dined and the wine flowed – all served in magnums and shared, swapped from table to table! Querciabella: A dining extravaganza hosted by owner Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni and his wife Jane Patterson at the magnificent Palazzo Capponi D’Annuziata. A delectable 16-course organic vegan menu created by Filippo Saporita - La Legenda dei Frati was teamed with the biodynamic wines produced on the estate located in Chianti Classico. Here is what they served: 2006 Batar, 1999 Batar, 1995 Batar, 2004 Querciabella 1999 Chianti Classico Riserva, 2007 Palafreno, 2001 Palafreno, 2004 Camartina, 1999 Camartina, 1994 Camartina. A true feast for the senses, guests were also entertained throughout the meal with Renaissance music by the ensemble Ex Lingo Voces and poetry readings by Polizano and Lorenzo de' Medici. Marchesi Antinori: Graciously hosted by Albeira Antinori, where guests dined at the beautiful and historical family palace and residence in the center of Florence in Piazza Antinori. Highlights of the three-course traditional dinner were the 2009 Tignanello and Solaia 1998. Below is Albeira Antinori with guests.


Brunello di Montalcino: Hosted by Casanova di Neri - Giacomo Neri, Valdicava - Vincenzo Abbruzzese, San Filippo - Roberto Giannelli and Siro Pacenti - Giancarlo Pacenti, the evening was enjoyed by all at Michelin starred restaurant Ora d’Aria, located near the Ponte Vecchio. Executive chef Marco Stabile created a special menu for this special dinner to match the wines served from these well-known Brunello producing estates. Here is what was on the menu: Asparagus soup with Burrata and black truffle caviar, Brunello di Montalcino risotto with fresh green peas and pecorino cheese, caramelized giunea fowl with cherry and garlic sauce, paired with San Filippo Le Lucere 2007, Casanova di Neri Tenuta Nuova 2007, Valdicava 2007, Casanova di Neri Cerretalto 2006, San Filippo Le Lucere Riserva 2004, Siro Pacenti PS 2001, and Valdicava 2001. Il Borro: Ferruccio Ferragamo and Salvatore Ferragamo and their guests enjoyed a splendid evening starting with an apertivo at the Ferragamo Museum followed by dinner featuring a great selection of Il Borro wines at the Borgo San Jacopo Restaurant: Lamelle 2010 Il Borro, PIan di Nova 2009 Il Borro, Il Borro Decima Annata 2008 Il Borro, Vin Santo del Chianti Occhio di Pernice Il Borro. Marchesi Mazzei: The Mazzei family entertained their guests at a small intimate dinner held in the centre of Florence. The traditional meal was prepared by the family chef at the Family Palazzo and home to Agnes Mazzei, with the highlight of the evening being Castello di Fonterutoli 2008.


Marchesi de' Frescobaldi: Lamberto Frescobaldi and family hosted dinner for 30 guests on Saturday evening during Divino Tuscany. The dinner was held in the historical Palazzo Frescobaldi, the private home to the family located in Santo Spirito. Amongst other wines served, guests very much enjoyed the Super Tuscan Luce 2009 and Luce 1999 serve with the meal. Below is Lamberto Frescobaldi and Vittorio Frescobaldi.



Principe Corsini: Duccio Corsini and Sabina Corsini and family planned a very special evening at the family Palazzo Corsini al Prato! Guests very much enjoyed the intimate evening with the meal prepared by the family chef, and served with wines from the Le Corti Estate: Risotto rucola, pera e blu di corzano with Le Corti 2009 Chianti Classico DOCG; gran pezzo con carciofi e piselli with Zac 2008 IGT Toscana; and budino di ricotta con salsa di fragole with Sant' Andrea Corsini Vin Santo del Chianti Classico.


Barone Ricasoli: The family home of Francesco Ricasoli, Palazzo Ricasoli Goldini, located on the River Arno, was a spectacular location for the intimate dinner hosted by Francesco Ricasoli on the Saturday evening of Divino Tuscany. Francesco generously served his guests a great selection and variety of wines from the Castello Brolio Estate throughout the intimate celebration.
