James Suckling & Lalique: The 100 Points Collection
Lalique and internationally acclaimed wine critic James Suckling created the 100 POINTS collection, a hand-made range of glassware that blends modern design with precise functionality while showcasing Lalique’s signature style.
James Suckling personally approved, used, and designed the collection, which began in 2012 with the 100 Points Universal Glass. This collaboration provided wine enthusiasts with a glass that is “as beautiful to look at and hold as it is functional for tasting and drinking.”
The collection has since expanded to include 14 designs, such as glasses for Burgundy, Bordeaux, Champagne, Cognac, and water, as well as shot glasses, tumblers, decanters, and cork holders.
The Universal Glass remains James’s favorite. “It’s one glass for any wine—whether a fine first-growth Bordeaux or a hearty Nero d’Avola from Sicily,” says James Suckling, reflecting his dream of creating a versatile, elegant design.
