My Article: Me and Gambero Rosso

(LOS ANGELES, JAN. 26, 2011) I just received this email: “Congratulazion on the new position with the Gambero Rosso...”
What’s going on here? I am really surprised to read all the comments in the blogosphere about my collaboration with Gambero Rosso, considering I have no relationship with the Italian wine magazine other than being new friends with the owner Paolo Cuccia.
I met Paolo a few weeks ago for lunch in Hong Kong, when we discussed the past, present and future of Gambero Rosso and my new venture JamesSuckling.com. We also discussed how we might collaborate; however, nothing was decided. In fact, I said I would think about it.
So, you can imagine how surprised I was when I read last week in a Gambero Rosso publication that I had in effect joined the editorial staff. This simply isn’t true.
I have my own media outlets with JamesSuckling.com and I am also now the wine editor for Asia Tatler, the Far East’s No. 1 luxury magazine. I also have a new wine event in Florence, Italy, on June 2-5 – Divino Tuscany.
In any case, I wish Gambero Rosso the very best in the future. And “I'm here” for all of you at JamesSuckling.com!Comments
