2002 Cristal: A Bubbling Legend

Louis Roederer's 2002 Cristal is quickly becoming a legendary Champagne that you need to know about. Arguably the best ever, it is super powerful but it still needs quite a few years in bottle. Click here for James' note and score.

To get an idea of just how precious 2002 Cristal is, watch this video. You'll see the recent launch in Hong Kong of 200 jeroboams of the Champagne crafted with 24-carat golden nets. A remarkable bottling for a remarkable vintage. The price tag is US$25000 but the good news is that a normal bottle with cost you "only" around US$300.
