Barone Ricasoli: 2006, 2007, 2008

Thursday, April 28, 2011

His ancestor created the blend for Chianti in the 1800s and forever etched the family name of Ricasoli in the mind of Italian wine lovers. Francesco is one of the smartest and most dedicated vintners I know in Tuscany. And I like that he makes excellent wines at every price range in the region. I spent an afternoon with him last fall exploring some of his more recent vintages.
