Barrel 27: The Wine

Thursday, October 13, 2011

The great value reds of Barrel 27 continue to surface in my tastings this year. I remember the first time I came across one of their wines was during a retail tasting in Orange County at Hi-Time Wine Cellars. And then outstanding wines came up in blind tastings of Central Coast reds and whites at my tasting room in Los Angeles. So, it was necessary to check out the winery and speak to the winemakers. I must admit I was a little surprised what I found when I met winemaker McPrice Myers. Check out the video.

The tasting notes for all the wines can be found in my California Central Coast and Santa Barbara County tasting reports.
