Bordeaux En Primeur – Château Cantemerle

Tuesday, April 21, 2015

Château Cantemerle is one of the best-value classified growths in Bordeaux. The fifth growth in the Haut-Médoc region produces refined and balanced reds that also sell at reasonable prices.

Managing Director Philippe Dambrine believes 2012 to be a very approachable vintage that customers can drink while still young. Although the growing season in 2012 was challenging for Bordeaux, the wines improved significantly after ageing.

"2012 is improving quite well in bottle. We bottled the wine in late April, 2014. When we tasted the wine, we enjoyed it. It's very gentle and easy. Very pleasing for light meals to enjoy with friends. Nothing special but very appealing," Dambrine explains.
