This standout Chilean pinot from slate-rich coastal Maule is Senior Editor Zekun Shuai's latest Wine Crush. With 20 percent whole clusters, it shows distinctive notes of agave, white pepper and dried herbs. Despite the warm vintage, it remains fresh and nervy, with real tension and a clear sense of place. Produced in small quantities by Miguel Torres, he says it well worth seeking out.
