Cigar Talk: Hiroshi Robaina – Curing Tobacco

In the first segment of Cigar Talk, James interviewed Hiroshi Robaina, head of the legendary tobacco farm Finca Robaina. Hiroshi spoke about the elements that make Cuban tobacco so unique, the importance of each of these elements and their interaction, emphasizing on the soil as the keystone.

In this second segment, Hiroshi and James discuss the importance of technology in the curing process. The curing of the tobacco is one of the most important parts in the process of making a cigar – it adds balance as well as that beautiful golden copper color to the wrapper.
