James tasted the 2020 and 2022 Domaine De Chevalier wines with Olivier and Adrien Bernard while in Bordeaux.
"2022 seems to have even more structure and focus ... and really exciting,," James said, asking Olivier to expound on the differences between the two vintages.
"There is, I think in 2022, another dimension," Olivier says. "This vintage was very warm, but the vineyard was surprising and the fruit was great. That was the big surprise of this vintage – very warm, very dry ... to have such a nice crop, nice berries. And we were surprised to make such a good wine with these wonderful berries."
