Dominus Estate: The Winery

Dominus Estate in Napa Valley is owned by Christian Moueix and produces outstanding Bordeaux-style blends. Moueix is the patriarch of the famous Bordeaux family that also owns a stable of amazing Pomerol estates such as Trotanoy, La Fleur Petrus and Hosanna.

One of the most impressive wineries in the world, the 44,000-square-foot rock structure is naturally temperature controlled, with stones that serve as a thermoregulation unit for the entire building. It was designed by the Swiss architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron. Watch as Kassidy Harris, head of public relations, explains how this fascinating process works.
