Held May 8 and 9 in New York City at St. Bart's church, JamesSuckling.com and Zachys hosted one of the greatest Italian wine events ever, featuring a selection of wines from 107 of Italy's best wineries. James personally selected all the wineries, and every wine poured -- close to 400 different labels -- received no less than 90 points (outstanding quality) on JamesSuckling.com.
The impressive walk-around tasting on May 8 included up to three different wines per winery, and the three-course collector's magnum dinner on May 9 featured specially selected magnums from the cellars of each winery. The dinner also included a charity auction for Robin Hood -- one of the top in the city working to stamp out poverty -- where over $37,000 was raised! British recording artist Isabel Suckling (the 15-year-old daughter of James) performed to a mesmerized audience, and the dinner additionally spotlighted the Lalique & James Suckling 100 Points universal tasting glass.
