Lalique Niepoort 1863 Decanter: Creation of a Legend

Friday, October 12, 2018

You might have already read about the collaboration between French crystal maker Lalique and Port shipper Niepoort to produce a tiny number of handmade decanters filled with 1863 garrafeira. The special bottlings are some of the oldest Ports in the world. One of them will be sold at auction by Acker Merrall & Condit on November 3 in Hong Kong. However, no one has seen the short documentary that was filmed in March 2016 in Porto to track the creation of these unique bottlings. Check it out. James already scored the wine and here are the note and score.
