It’s hard to think of a more famous winemaker than Michel Rolland. The globetrotting consulting winemaker seems to make wine in just about every corner of the world and then some. I once asked him where he didn’t make wine, and he joked, “Mars.” But Michel’s home is Bordeaux, specifically the Right Bank where he has wineries in Pomerol and St. Emilion, among others zones, and he always has insightful thoughts about recent vintages. I spent an afternoon tasting with Michel at his laboratory in Pomerol and asked him a few questions about Bordeaux’s 2010 vintage on camera. He was very candid.
