My Vlog: Best White in Paso Robles?

Monday, September 26, 2011

I have been tasting hundreds of wine samples from California's Central Coast, and I have been incredibly impressed with all the wines made from Rhone Valley grape varieties. I have been particularly blown away with some of the whites. Check out this video and find out which 2009 Paso Robles Roussanne is my favorite so far. (Excuse my pronounciation of Rous-Ann! I was too excited about the wine!)

2009 Copain Roussanne Paso Robles: This is bright and beautiful with dried pears and apples and peaches. Full and fresh with an intense almost apple sauce sort of flavor. Long finish. Very true to the grape. From Saxum vineyards. Drink now. 94 points.
