Opus One Cabernet: 2008

Friday, June 10, 2011

It is arguably the most famous California wine in the world. Partly owned by Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Opus One has been making elegant wines for almost 30 years from vines grown on the floor of Napa Valley.

James visits with the director of winemaking and viticulture, Michael Silacci. As an experiment, they taste the 2008 vintage from three bottles that were each decanted at different times, one as far back as two days before.

Watch the video to see what affect that approach has on each wine's drinkability.
