Part IV: Terredora di Paolo
Terredora di Paolo was created in 1994 after the family split the assets of their winery between two brothers: Antonio and Walter. Terredora is the third largest producer in Italy's Campania region, and it is the only producer that owns nearly all its vineyards.
In this video, owner Daniela Mastroberardino emphasizes the importance of white wines in the their production. Terredora produces three whites from the three main appelations: Falanghina, Greco di Tufo and Fiano di Avellino. Terradora is an outstanding example for Campania showing how the region makes excellent white AND red wines. This is not always the case in other regions of Italy. As Daniella explains, the altitude and the contrast between low and high temperatures give the wines a perfect balance between the volume of fruit and acidity.
