QUILCEDA CREEK’S PAUL GOLITZIN ON WASHINGTON 2021s: ‘SURPRISED HOW BEAUTIFUL THEY BECAME’ [VIDEO]

Executive Editor Jim Gordon tasted Quilceda Creek’s ripe and generous 2021 Washington wines with owner Paul Golitzin and winemaker Mark Kaigas during a week of reviewing 575 wines in the state. Jim asked Paul about the quality of the 2021 vintage for red wines in this video. Paul says the season was” very, very warm” and had an early harvest, yet produced surprisingly high quality, supple wines.

Jim also asked Mark about the differences between the two main American Viticultural Areas in which Quilceda Creek owns vineyards: Horse Heaven Hills and Red Mountain. Watch on to find out more.
