Brunello di Montalcino: Renieri – The Vineyard

The Renieri estate is located in the southern quadrant of Montalcino, facing the majestic Mount Amiata. A millenary lava dome that faces the property from the south. Renieri makes remarkable Brunello di Montalcino as well as two Bordeaux blends.

Marco Bacci, owner of Renieri as well as Castello di Bossi in the Chianti Classico region and Terre di Talamo in Maremma met with James to discuss what makes this specific area of Montalcino special.  According to Marco, the largely volcanic soil has a lot to do with it.
