Bordeaux 2011: at Château Ausone with winemaker Pauline Vauthier

Saturday, April 7, 2012

Pauline Vauthier makes the wine of the famous St. Emilion estates of Château Ausone with her father Alan, and they made an exceptional 2011, despite the difficult growing season. Part of the reason Ausone was such a success in 2011 was its use of excellent Cabernet Franc, but the other was Pauline’s delicate touch with the winemaking. Watch the video of my quick interview after tasting the wine at the estate.
