In Case You Missed It - Originally posted December 9, 2010

The managing director of Bordeaux’s famous Chateau Margaux, Paul Pontallier, 53, has been making wines at the first growth for almost three decades. He has always worked there, but has also made wine in South Africa and South America, among other places. He is one of Bordeaux’s most articulate and candid speakers in both French and English as well as a top winemaker. He answered three questions I have asked winemakers in America as well as Europe. His response was both thought provoking and philosophical.
