Nobody in the California wine world is like Chuck Wagner, the owner and winemaker of Napa Valley’s Caymus Vineyards. He is an iconoclast who grows his grapes his way and makes his wines how he likes to drink them. His Caymus Vineyards Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most popular super premium reds of the Golden State, and it’s fairly priced compared to most of its peers. I asked Chuck the three questions (a regular feature on my site) during a visit and tasting to his winery last September.
