Top 10 Videos of 2014 – #9 – Napa Valley Cabernet: A Brief Look into the Evolution of its Style

Monday, December 29, 2014

At No. 9, we have our short documentary, "Napa Valley Cabernet: A Brief Look into the Evolution of Its Style." We shot this during James' Napa Valley tasting in March last year. We nterviewed owners and winemakers from some of the more classic Napa estates such as Charles Krug and Louis Martini, as well as newer but equally fundamental estates like Dunn Vineyards. We wanted to find out the dominant style of the past in order to understand the present and speculate on the future. Many of them noted how Napa had gone to far towards the over oaked and concentrated wine styles.

Watch the documentary and learn about the evolution of Napa Valley cabernet from some of the Valley's key producers.
