VIÑA CONCHA Y TORO’S MARCELO PAPA ON WHAT MAKES LIMARI WINES SPECIAL

Thursday, April 11, 2024

James talks with Marcelo Papa, the winemaker for Viña Concha y Toro in the Limari region of northern Chile, about his latest releases.

"The wines really have a beautiful depth and structure, and they have a fantastic freshness as well and that's really something special, I think, for this area of Chile," James says.

Papa explains that the secret to the wines lies mainly in the soil – a local limestone that gives "salinity, tension and freshness" to Concha y Toro's offerings.
