Harlan Estate Napa Valley Red 1992
Thursday, Dec 19, 2013

I was really impressed with the harmony to this Harlan. I wonder if new vintages will age as well? Bill Harlan, the owner of the Napa estate, assured me last summer that his new vintages would be equally great with age. However, I noticed the 1992 is only 13.5% alcohol. That's lower alcohol compared to his wines today. Anyway, the 1992 is very balanced today with mint and rosemary and dried fruit character. It's full-bodied, has super fine tannins and a long finish. Decant and serve. 96 points
