James Suckling continues his highly successful and popular fine wine events in 2026 with scheduled stops across major cities in the United States and Asia. These curated tastings bring together wine producers, trade professionals, and consumers in walk-around tastings focused on quality and market engagement while providing a fun and exciting experience that resembles a rock concert more than a typical wine tasting.
The fact that his events attract young professionals as well as consumers – something that other large wine events generally don’t do – adds to the energy and vibe of the event. In the U.S., the audience spans a wider range, with 37% aged 25–38, 39% aged 39–52, and 21% aged 53 and above. In Asia, 43% of attendees are aged 25–38, with 40% between 39–52.
“Young wine consumers and trade come to our events around the world, and these help grow new wine markets,” said James Suckling. “Despite negative news about wine consumption, especially with younger people, we believe from our events that the market is strong for well-known premium wine brands, and new consumers want to taste and learn about these wines through our events.”
The tastings currently attract more than 22,000 attendees worldwide. Flagship events in New York, Miami, and San Francisco draw approximately 15,000 participants, while tastings in Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, and Bangkok welcome around 7,000 guests from across Asia.
A mix of trade and consumer audiences attend these events. Approximately 55% represent industry professionals—importers, sommeliers, distributors, retailers, and media—while the remaining 45% are engaged consumers, many of them younger wine lovers eager to discover new producers and expand their knowledge. In Asia, 43% of attendees are aged 25–38, with 40% between 39–52.
